Our School

My Piano Room knows three things:

• Music learning has to be fun

• Students have to be engaged before

  true learning can take place

• Parents and teachers have to

work together for the child’s optimum

  progress

At My Piano Room, lessons are fun! Your child can begin to learn how to play a simple tune or the name of notes by playing a series of games. Learning through games has been proven to be beneficial not just for children, but for adults as well. Fun lessons engage. When a child is engaged, he/she longs to learn more. This positive connection between learning and fun can have a lifelong benefit.

The lessons are split up into three parts:

• Piano Playing

• Music Theory

• Games / Aural / Music Appreciation

These three parts are like pieces in a puzzle. When fitted together, it forms the whole picture – your child’s entire music education. Each piece is equally important and cannot stand alone.

My Piano Room does not believe in learning by rote or repetition. We know that every child is different and unique in their abilities. Hence, lesson plans will take into account each child's needs and learning abilities instead of tying them down into a fixed lesson routine.

We believe parents play a positive role. A child’s progress can be optimised when parents sit with the child as the child practises. My Piano Room strives to work closely with the parents to reach your child’s full musical potential.

My Piano Room offers Music for Little Ones course and piano lessons for ABRSM Grades 1 - 8.
